General Archives of the Kingdom of Belgium

The General Archives of the Kingdom of Belgium wanted to digitize a large number of documents spread across 18 different locations in Belgium.

Approach & Solution

The aim of the project was to digitize a large number of documents spread across 18 different locations in Belgium:

  • 200 kilometers of archives
  • 25 kilometers of books
  • Do not damage heritage collections

The General Archives of the Kingdom of Belgium equipped themselves with CopiBook Open System A2. To facilitate digitization, i2S scanners have been installed in 18 different locations across Belgium. Each province was responsible for its own collections.
